"Two Choices" is a one movement work based on the poem by Joell Greco. The piece was written at the beginning of the U.S. invasion into Iraq. For the first time many women were faced with the reality of leaving their families for combat. "Two Choices" is embodies the decision the women had to make, to stay at home and leave the military or fulfill their obligations. However, it becomes almost impossible to leave the military once the country has engaged in war. Women must follow through with a decision they made before having a family.

Text:
My soul slips and soars on eagle's wings.
Two choices, one made.

Two souls I helped saved.
Two choices; one made.

My soul slips and soars on eagle's wings.
Two choices; one made.

Dreams of me will never fade.
Two choices; one made.

Two sons silently and soundly sleep.
Two choices; one made.

My soul slips and soars on eagle's wings.
Two choices, one made.

Two sons know what freedom brings.
Two choices; one made.

Mother and soldier I was meant to be.
